Anyone else play Doom late at night when you were supposed to be sleeping bc you had school the next day? I did! I loved that game oh so much. That game truly did scare the crap outta me back in the day. The sounds alone could make ya pee urself haha. My dad was actually the one who got me into it. |

| Never did it with Doom, but I remember getting up hours early before school to play "Beneath a Steel Sky"! Had to clear it with the parents beforehand, lol! |

| "Resident Evil 2" for me (Itho I wasn't all that young). More than one 36-hour play session stretched out all night until morning. |

Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein spent many all nighters playing those games.
I did take a week off of work and played Everquest 24/7 when it first came out. After that I stopped playing RPG's. |

| I stayed up 41 hours playing through "Metal Gear Solid 2" non-stop when it came out. Had to request the weekend off from work to do it. And I was the manager. |

| The demo disc that came with "Zone of the Enders" had me frothing at the mouth by the time the game was released. I couldn't wait. |

....And the only reason ZotE sold at all. Hell, I almost bought one for the demo. Kind of a shame, as the game was pretty good in it's own right.
Doom never scared me, but man oh man, when Resident Evil was first released, that was intense. Only a few bullets left, no herbs and there's a zombie in the room! My most memorable moment is the infamous "dog room". My wife was watching me play, late at night, and then all of a sudden dogs jump through the windows. Shee jumped, I jumped and then quickly died while laughing. It's dated now, sure, but at the time it was fantastic. It also got my honey interested in games, so it holds a special place in my heart. |
