Blumhouse’s FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S Rapidly Moving Forward

Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is still in the works as today Jason Blum himself revealed that the movie is “rapidly moving forward.”

Blum tells Fandom: “It’s super active, so I really feel like we have a very good shot at getting to see a Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. I feel like it’s really moving forward; it’s not stalled or anything else. It might seem that way because we have don’t have any announcements about it, but it’s not stalled. It’s moving rapidly forward. I don’t want to put a timeline on it, but soon we’ll get a movie. I really feel confident about that.”

Gremlins and The Goonies screenwriter turned director Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets) is set to direct with the game’s creation Scott Cawthon penning the script.
