For a first movie in a reboot, I wouldn't mind seeing the introduction of Gwen Stacy and Harry with Norman Osborn. Of course we'll need Jameson and they should keep J.K. Simmons as Jameson. He's perfect for that role. But as for first villians I'd go with Chameleon and Rhino in 1. For 2, I'd use Sandman and Green Goblin. For 3, introduce Octavius and Conners but for villians have it be Scorpion and the rise of Doc Ock and the Lizard to lead into 4 with the Sinister Six.

Why do you want to see Sandman and Green Goblin again?

I don't know shit about Spider-man or any other superhero. Love me some Wolverine though.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Spiderman/Iron Fist team-up. Since that's probably the only way Iron Fist is gonna make it to the movies.

The perfect mold for the reboot would be the series The Spectacular Spider-Man. That show is great and they squeeze in almost everyone without missing a beat.

Mary Jane is a supporting character, Flash Thompson is a supporting character, Gwen Stacy is a major love interest, JJJ and Robbie are in the show as well as Harry and Norman Osborne. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. They even had Eddie Brock as a supporting character until he became Venom in the end of the first season.

If you've never seen it I believe they air it on Disney XD.

As for the reboot, I think Rhino is too boring a character. Chameleon would be pretty good if approached right, but Rhino has always been too one dimensional for me. Which probably means they'll include him as a secondary villain.

I have a feeling they'll take the same approach to it like they did with The Incredible Hulk by including fifty percent story and fifty percent action. I really hope character focus doesn't take a back seat to special effects and action scenes though.

There's a lot of depth to mine that Raimi didn't do very well with. Peter's high school life was just glossed over. I want to see his every day life as a nerd in high school.

Well for starters, they weren't handled right in Raimi's series. Especially Sandman. Raimi's movie shit all over him badly just like Venom.

As for Terminal, the reason why I put Rhino on the list is to have someone challenging and big for young Peter to go through first. For a young teenage Spider-Man. Rhino would give him a bit of a challenge when he's still trying to figure out and deal with his newfound powers.

Yes I agree.

But for different reasons.

Green Goblins primary fault was that the costume was ridiculous and they made him too similar to the Joker at times.

Sandman went from a petty thug to a misguided man who wanted back his daughter or something idiotic like that. Hell in the end of Spider-Man 3 he just gave up and disappeared in to the wind.

How retarded is that?

That's a good point. Hell, I'd see that.

I still vote for rhino and shocker...

Mysterio would be another fun one, morbious for the second movie would be neat as well.

Mysterio was actually the first villain that came to mind, when I thought 'reboot'. Although, he'd probably be better served in a sequel, rather than an origin story. For the origin, they're going to need someone iconic, which is really kind of a bitch because the two obvious choices have already been done. Those, of course, being the Green Goblin and Doc Ock.

Wouldn't mind seeing Sandman done right. Hell, maybe throw Hydroman into the mix to make it interesting. Although, that'd probably be overkill.

I definitely want to see the Lizard given some screen time, but apparently Sony doesn't like that idea, at all - and Lord knows they know best.

I really want the Lizard.

There is so much conflict and tragedy and pain involved in Spidey's dealings with the beast that it'd be a perfect first experience for him as a young Spider-Man.

Hell even the popular nineties animated series realized this by making The Lizard the main villain of the pilot.

I hope they get an unknown to play Peter.

And I'd like to see a veteran play Uncle Ben.

Cliff Robertson was great as Ben.

Only in your wettest, wildest dreams, buddy. That would be rad, though.
As much as I disliked Toby and Dunst, S-M 2 is still one of my favorites. So yeah, anyone but Toby will be an improvement, for me anyway.
