Rue Morgue is the only horror mag I would buy semi-regularly, back when I had the money to spend. Always wanted a subscription, but it was like a hundred dollars or something.

Fuck 'em all. Killing good trees for what is, ultimately, a niche version of Entertainment Weekly, with all the depth in substance that entails.

Aren't most 'film journalists' on the web, by now, anyways? It's 2010.

I stand by what I said. None of this shit matters. Certainly not enough to justify printing up hover many million copies of 30 to 60 high-gloss pages month after month after month. Shit's just wasteful.

I mean, Newsweek's one thing. The people have a right to know what's going on in the world around them. But, Fangoria? Really? Take it to the web, folks.

A tree hugger eh? Well we can't have trees overrunning the world. I'm sure Californians wouldn't mind a few less trees to have less disastrous forest fires. They have enough shit to worry about between the mud slides and the San Andreas Fault and possibly sliding into the ocean and all that. Are you against deer hunting as well. 'Cause Venison is some awesome meat and I surely don't want deer to destroy the country either.

You would have a coronary if you knew how many magazines I buy and read. I think there's more worthwhile ones out there than just Newsweek. What about Time? Some that I have sitting here now like Discover and Popular Science, very enlightening magazines if you're any kind of science geek or into Quantum Physics which is the future. Maybe Sci Fi magazine isn't the most educational but this month it has great stories on Avatar and The Lovely Bones, The Book of Eli, etc. Maybe I could do without Empire, it's expensive enough, but it happens to be the best mag about movies I've ever read. And then there's this months issue of Kerrang devoted to Green Day who I happen to think are brilliant and screenwriting magazines and a bunch of others that are out of sight right now but are interesting as well.

I do agree that Fangoria is a waste of a good tree though. Wink

What about books. I guess we should stop reading too. What the fuck did Shakespeare know anyway.

I say fuck the internet, fuck digital media and all of its devices. Fuck it all.

I like my books, magazines and vinyl.

Bring back Tower Records too!

Yeah. Good luck with that. 'S gotten you (us, everybody) real fuckin' far, hasn't it?

I'm not going to get into an argument over this. Pretty much said what I'm going to say. "Whole fuckin' planet's going to hell soon, anyway," right?

Hell, I probably just shouldn't have said anything at all. Raining on parades, and all that. But, there it is. Deal with it.

G-FAN(http://www.g-fan.com/) a fanzine published out of Canada that gets into anything and everything related kaiju like GODZILLA,King of the monsters, GAMERA Turtle power! , KING KONG The 8th wonder of the world! ,and like. Started getting in the mid-nineties where finding any info on the Godzilla flicks made at the time was pretty sparse. Especially, without any access to the world wide web. Dark times indeed. But still look forward to getting the book on a quarterly basis. Nice to have something tangible in my hands.

Malachi, for the most part people don't throw away zines like FANGORIA and RUE MORGUE. They are lovingly saved.
Let's take all the super market rags to the web first. And the "womens magazines" and all the throw away entertainment zines like PEOPLE and US.
