Just picked up a large hardcover version of Frankenstein, illustrated by Bernie Wrightson. I'd say this is a MANDATORY book in everyone's collection. The artwork is beautiful, done in pen and ink, reminiscent of Franklin Booth (see: legit).

Bernie Wrightson is primarily a comic book artist. He is the co-creator of Swamp Thing and did the comic book adaptation of Creepshow.

Sounds interesting if only for the pictures. Frankenstein never did anything for me.

I just love buying books, the problem is finding time to read them all. I buy way more than I could possibly read. I'm in the habit of buying books that look interesting to me as soon as I run across them even if I can't read them right away for fear of them going OOP.

Let me know how the story is. I still haven't started Dracula.

"Dracula" is one of the best books I've ever read. "Frankenstein" is one of the dullest books I've ever tried to read - illustrations by Wrightson would vastly improve it, though.

If there ever is a zombie apocalypse I'm finding a bookstore to live in. I need to stop going to them but I love them. Saw a book today about the Secret History of NASA that sounded completely kickass but I ran away before I could buy any more.

I bet they're growing pot in space. Laughing

Sorry off topic. Very Happy

The only thing I could think when reading this post was "That's not fair. That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was, was all the time I needed... "

lol

I know what you mean though, I almost bought a book of concept art for Avatar, but the only copy they had was kind of beat up. I'll go back and buy it eventually.

I actually went to the bookstore today to buy that book of art for Avatar but it had been sold out for awhile.

I flipped through the one copy they had. It's definitely worth it.

Did they have the names of everything in there? That's what I'm interested in. I want to totally geek out over Avatar and then get into a discussion with someone as if Pandora were real. Very Happy

Been wanting to pick that up for years. Not sure why I never have.

Berni Wrightson is my favorite artist of all time . . . .
