Spawn Meets Spider-Man In Epic New Book Cover Drawn By Todd McFarlane

For the first time ever, comic superstar Todd McFarlane has finally illustrated an image of Spawn together with Spider-Man. Although he created Spawn and also drew a number of Spider-Man comics, this is the first time McFarlane has officially drawn both of the hugely popular characters together, so this image will be seen by fans as a landmark in comic history. The image will serve as the cover for this year’s edition of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, which will be released on August 4, 2020. You can pre-order your copy here.

McFarlane shared the cover on his official Twitter account, and it shows Spawn brooding atop a gargoyle, with Spider-Man perched underneath. The sheer level of awesomeness contained in this one image is beyond words, so we will let the picture speak for itself in the tweet below.

McFarlane frequently illustrated Spider-Man in the late eighties and early nineties, before he left Marvel to help found Image Comics. It was around this time when he created the character Spawn, whose eponymous series went on to become one of the bestselling comic books of all time.

Spawn recently appeared as a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11, where he was once again voiced by Keith David. There is also a new Spawn movie in production, which will allegedly begin filming later this year.
