FilmJunk. com is reporting that J.J. Abrams and his company, Bad Robot Productions, will be co-producing the upcoming feature film based on the character of Samarai Jack. The film is being distributed by Paramount Films, which according to the article, will help make sure that the film does not go direct to DVD.
The movie will be done in a “2D/stereoscopic 3D production” to help keep the original feel of the show. It is being speculated that the budget will be in the ball park of about $20 million.

This show deserves all the cult status. It's one of the most unique animated series ever made and has something few animated series do: appeal to both children and adults.
I hope the movie is good. |
