| I'm not into thrash except for Slayer so can't really say what's good or bad but to me this album comes off as a few jam sessions hastily thrown together to form the 11 tracks on the album. It's starts off pretty good as the title track has a great opening and has some interesting guitar and drums but after that it all begins to sound too similar with even the lyrics being repeated in different songs. Pretty uninspired stuff from a band I usually enjoy listening to. Maybe it's Rick Rubin's fault. |

they should have stopped a long time ago. I like that they have only gotten heavier with time (whereas Metallica and even Megadeth have softened in their later years), but they just don't make albums like they used to. South of Heaven is still one of my favorites.
I didn't even bother with this album |

| You're not missing anything. Don't think I'll bother with it anymore. I'm sure they're banking on longtime fans and collectors to sell more copies of this with the 4 different album covers of which I got one that's about as non-descript as it gets. |

| Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, Priest and even Heaven & Hell are definitely not what they used to be. Which makes me wonder even more why Maiden fans are so quick to criticize the post-reunited Iron Maiden albums. Sure there's not a Number of the Beast among them but I think they're still great albums and great heavy metal. I just think they've gotten more complex in their old age. Maiden seems to be more interested in 7 minute + epic songs than they are short, catchy, radio friendly singles of old. |

| I have to say this cd actually surprised me. The production is very warm & natural, but still heavy when it needs to be. Haven't been truly impressed with Slayer in a long time... This has changed. |

They sound like a garage band to me. Maybe I need to go back and listen to some other more recent albums. |

It's the best SLAYER album in a looooong time.
But for me personally? SLAYER's final album was REIGN IN BLOOD.
MEGADETH is enjoying a renneisannce of sorts too. And HEAVEN AND HELL are better than they have been in years. That's over now that Dio has been diagnosed with stomach cancer though. Let's all send Dio some good vibes ok? _________________ When you are beautiful it's only skin deep, but when you are ugly it's all the way through. |

| I didn't know that about Dio. That's terrible. He sounds so good. |

I like this album a lot...better than christ illusion.
They've been pretty hit or miss for the past 20 years (like Megadeth)...but I would say this one's a HIT. _________________ ? |
