This movie is an example of just how weird hollywood is. Religion saves LL, literally, while sciene is bad bad wrong evil and needs to be punished. This would be the point of view you'd expect from the far, far right, but it's expressed in a Hollywood movie, which is almost always politically way off to the left. So odd.
