STRANGER THINGS 3’s NeverEnding Story Sing-Along Was Originally Set To Something MUCH Different

Like many of you guys out there, I was utterly enchanted by the stellar third season of Netflix and The Duffer Brothers’ hit series Stranger Things. And one of the best parts was when Dustin and his long-distance girlfriend Suzie sang a duet of The NeverEnding Story to save the day.

But SyFy Wire says Suzie didn’t originally request The NeverEnding Story. Oh, no. Originally she asked Dustin to serenade her with … the “mournful” Ent song from The Lord of the Rings.

Which is appropriately nerdy.

But when the powers that be behind the scenes of Stranger Things found out that Amazon had a Lord of the Rings series in the works, a replacement was suggested – and the rest is history.

How glad are you Stranger Things 3 ultimately went with The NeverEnding Story theme song? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Season 3 picked back up in the summer of 1985 with the Hawkins crew on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive and remember that friendship is stronger than fear.

The first three seasons of The Duffer Brothers’ Stranger Things are now streaming over on Netflix right HERE. Meanwhile, Stranger Things 4 is (supposedly) now filming. Bring it on!
