ALIEN 3 Retro Pepsi Ad

Alien 3, director David Fincher’s 1992 sequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien and James Cameron’s Aliens, is the definition of a divisive sequel. But today we have a SUPER corny old school Pepsi ad from back when the movie first hit theaters that I’m sure everyone will enjoy.

Check it out up top!

Alien 3 centers on good old Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) who is the only survivor when she crash-lands on Fiorina 161, a bleak wasteland inhabited by former inmates of the planet’s maximum-security prison. Once again, Ripley must face skepticism and the alien as it hunts down the prisoners and guards. Without weapons or modern technology of any kind, Ripley leads the men into battle against the terrifying creature.

Ever the divisive sequel, Alien 3 currently sports a mere 43% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: “Alien3 takes admirable risks with franchise mythology, but far too few pay off in a thinly scripted sequel whose stylish visuals aren’t enough to enliven a lack of genuine thrills.”

David Fincher directed Alien 3 from a script by David Giler, Walter Hill, and Larry Ferguson based on a story by Vincent Ward based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Gordon Carroll, David Giler, and Walter Hill produced. It starred Sigourney Weaver, Charles S. Dutton, Charles Dance, and Lance Henriksen. 20th Century Fox released it back on May 22, 1992.
