This Day in Horror: Happy Birthday Tom Atkins

On this day in 1935, Tom Atkins was born.

Tom Atkins has nearly one hundred credits to his resume, and is best known for his roles in horror and genre projects. He appeared in The Fog and Escape From New York for John Carpenter. His first starring role was in Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Born in Pittsburgh, it is unsurprising that he has worked with George Romero, with credits in Creepshow, Two Evil Eyes, and Bruiser.

One of Atkins’ favorite roles was in Night of the Creeps. Other genre films he has appeared in include: The Ninth Configuration, Maniac Cop, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Drive angry, and Trick.
