End Game is fucking brutal......Fast and Nasty....If you like Megadeth, or just metal in general, you need to get it.

48 Minutes...Listen to it....I liked a couple of songs of the last album though, so I can't say its complete shit...at least it wasn't St, Anger.

I really liked the one Megadeth album before the last one though (System Has Failed)....the one before that was decent, the one before that was crap, the one before that was not great, the one before that was quite good, the one before that was good...

Megadeth has been pretty hit-or-miss since Countdown.

This is true but Metallica has been the same way. I'm just not one to walk past a new Megadeth album. If I don't like it I toss it. Simple.

This one is good. I wouldn't describe it as brutal. Slayer and Anthrax are brutal Megadeth is more technical I think like Metallica and Iron Maiden. I half expect to look at the liner notes and see Micheal Shenker's name under guitar.

The first time I listened to it I thought it was average at best but the more I listen the more I like. The guitar work is especially good. Fuck, when in Rome.....just download the thing and see if you like it.

well, I wouldn't consider Slayer or Anthrax 'brutal' either, really.

Naplam Death, Cannibal Corpse, Gorerotted, those bands are 'brutal'....

I still own all the Megadeth albums...I don't get rid of them if I don't like them...chances are my wife does, or a friend does, so if someone else likes it, I have it in my library...I have about 3000 cds...all store bought and on a shelf, and then ripped to mp3 @ 192.

...I'll probably buy Endgame too....just not sure if I will like it.

I agree but then brutality level is subjective. I draw the line at Anthrax and Slayer. Everything "more brutal" than that is just noise to my delicate ear drums that have taken a beating from so many concerts in my life.

I used to not appreciate death and black metal...but there is some stuff that is truly awesome. I like everything from death metal to classical symphonies to bluegrass country to pop rock to hip hop to thrash metal to industrial to electro house to oldies be-bop to well, I think you get the pic...

...the only genre I don't really like (maybe cause I don't get it) is ambient/drone/noise/etc...that shit really is JUST noise LOL

Actually Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, who has so many different bands and projects going I can never keep up, has one called Bass Communication which is ambient stuff and it's actually really good, very interesting. That Ghosts BS Trent Reznor did awhile back was pure garbage.

Ghosts I-IV was amazing IMO....but that's not the 'ambient' I'm referring to....I like that kind of stuff.

I'm talking about stuff like sunn0))) (bad example, still) and even more obscure than that...

I'm also not a huge fan of prog/avant-guard anything...

What are you talking about? New Age?

I tossed Ghosts in the garbage can as soon as I got done listening to it the first time. Trent is really slipping, no pun intended, The Slip is just bad. He's a long way from the days of The Downward Spiral which is the best thing he's ever done although I still fucking love Pretty Hate Machine.

nah, seriously...its a genre which is just plain noise...they use fuzz without notes, distortion without melody...very very underground (for the most part) and I just can't get into it.

examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_noise_musicians

New Age is all right if you want to relax...but very rarely will I be in the mood to listen to whale songs Laughing

...& Halo 5 is the ultimate in NIN.
