The game Dark Sector has been described by the developers as a combination of Resident Evil 4 and Gears of War.... Very Happy
Very little is known about the plot, but it has something to do with a viral outbreak. The character you control in the game is of course a super bad-ass with a nasty glaive that can dismember and decapitate! He's got guns too! Ok, I just bought this for $8 at gamestop. I really enjoy the gameplay, though the camera angles do bug me. The glaive is awesome(especially the aftertouch), and the weapons are decent. I haven't come close to beating it but I just don't understand why it flopped so bad. I'm enjoying the story, and the gameplay is well done. Though redundant enemys, and two boss fights four chapters into the game may have brought it down a bit, I still don't see why it did so bad. Even the online multi-player is an interesting twist, and enjoyable(yes, people still play it online).

I know that there are a lot of better games out there, but for $8 this is a great buy if you haven't yet. My next ps3 game purchase is going to be jericho, and after that probably batman, or maybe cross edge.

Definitely glad I got this though.

This wasn't a bad game at all. I had fun with it from beginning to end. Sure the story sucked, but a good story is a rarity in gaming and as long as the gameplay is solid, I couldn't care less.

It did poorly because it wasn't a AAA title with the marketing push behind it. That and it didn't break enough new ground to get better reviews.

Still, I'm glad I played it.

I also bought it for 8 bucks...not bad....camera angles can get a bit rough, as stated before, but it was playable....I wouldn't pay full price, but for 8 dollars....a good buy indeed.

That's sad that it didn't do better. The story wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. The comic for it was cool as well. I just killed the mech boss and I am enjoying the hell out of this. I like the infection concept, though the fire and electricity isn't being used to it's full advantage, and the puzzles they put in are starting to get kind of annoying. Beyond that, I'm loving this.
