Nice to see that Anna Paquin shed her clothes and went topless right off the bat in season 2. I can only imagine who else is going to be shedding their clothes this season.
Hopefully Jessica.....HOTTIE~!
This show continues to impress. |

This season is off to a great start.
I think this is one of those shows that's only gonna keep getting better. |

I feel the same regarding the redundancy of stories revolving around Vampires, but True Blood really tackles the mythology in a fresh and interesting way. Not only is just good old fashioned fun tv, I really enjoy the complexity and dynamics of the characters. Scenes with Eric and Bill and how they are great foils for one another are just really awesome. _________________ Open your textbooks to the chapter concerning your death. |

It's not just vamps. There are also shapeshifters and a few other "monsters". _________________ Can you feel the thirst?

| I watched an episode of this last night and it was pretty strange. I also didn't have a clue about what was going on. The episodes are obviously not self contained |

I think it's only going to get stranger from here.... |

I've watched the few episodes from the first season on dvd and so far so good. It's got the right sense of place. The dynamics of mysterious, sticky backwoods flavor, and sensual and perverse sexuality. It's a pretty spicy gumbo. I loved when Bill said he could smell the sunlight on Sookie's
skin. Makes me hungry... _________________ Jackie Guerrido Normas el Mundo! |

Wow, this place is slowly turning into Sunnydale.
Not only do we have vampires but witches, shape-shifters, psychics, werewolves, and a shitload of other unexplained weirdness.
I love how they're really opening up into the world this season.
I'm so glad Lafayette's still alive. He's my favorite character. |

agreed, lafayette is a total ace character. I love how well done this series is! and btw, if you guys like the show then read the sookie stackhouse novels by charlaine harris. they are pretty quick reads, about 200-300 pages each and very engaging. Well written and suspenseful. There are 8 books, with the newest one having been released in May 09, so if viewership keeps up *crosses fingers*, then expect a whole lot more from this series!!

A, this is a really good show, not since the Battlestar Galactica reboot have I been so hooked on a show.
Season one was exceptional. I mean who'd have thought dude was the Killer, right? The new season has not let me down yet. The whole vampire dungeon...awesome.
And I really love the cast. Especially when you recognize them from their other work.
Sam was in AVPR.
Jason was in Dead Silence
Sookie, well we all loved her as Rogue and love her even more for taking it off.
The Sheriff was on Newhart & Deadwood
Michel Forbes was Ensign Roe on Star Trek: Next Gen and Admiral Cane from Battlestar
The best thing about the show is that it isn't a different story every week. It's just one big continuing story.
I'm torn between Bill & Eric as my favorite characters.
Hey, what actors would you all like to see come to the show....as vampires?
Me, I'd like to see Cheech Marin & Danny Trejo...... _________________ I should've known better, but this is a horror movie, I was supposed to go into the dark with no weapon at all....right?

This show just keeps getting better and better! I must say I didn't think Sam's new gf would be in allegiance with Maryanne. I loved the flashback scene of Bill and his maker viciously murdering that couple. Brutal stuff.
It's seems it's all up to Jason to save his sis and possibly Godrig. Maybe Jason's former nemesis will play some part in the rescue as well?
I've been wondering about the origins of Godrig....any guesses? |

I think Maryanne is the beast who slashed up Sookie.
And blood-orgy sacrifice?!?! How in the hell is Sam gonna get out of this one? And what are the Jesus freaks keeping the basement of their church?
I love how bizarre and fucked up this series gets with every episode. |

What True Blood needs to keep up with are the bits of flashbacks that reveal more of our characters through their past (a la Lost). I got a kick out of seeing Bill in 20's Chicago and then 30's L.A. And Eric's reveal of who is Godrick is to him was probably my favorite scene all season. It's key that they aren't just there for flash, but rather these scenes are literary tools to develop the characters amd to create a parallel to the current story thread.
I'd especially like to see the times leading to the creation of Tru Blood and the vampires "Coming Out". I bet that is rich with struggle and conflict amongst most of the known players. _________________ Open your textbooks to the chapter concerning your death. |
