I'm debating on buying this from Amazon and I just wanted some feedback.
Any thoughts out there on this one? _________________ "I hate all sports as rabidly as a person who likes sports hates common sense." - H. L. Mencken

The basic concept sounds like the kind of joke that'll get old really, really quick. Of course, this means that I have absolutely no motivation to read it. _________________ Mah Mini Citee

The reviews I've read were overwhelmingly on the positive side. So I'll give it a whirl and let you know what I think. _________________ "I hate all sports as rabidly as a person who likes sports hates common sense." - H. L. Mencken

Yeah, I'm really surprised that the reviews have been positive. I figured it would be a one joke gone on too long thing too but I guess it really works. _________________ Close the case before the coffin. |

| I'm almost done with it now. It's not bad. Some of the dialogue is somewhat ridiculous and annoying but I think its how the original novel is. It can get confusing at times because except for a few characters they almost never call anyone by their first names. It's always Mr. Darcy, Miss Darcy. Mrs Bennet, Miss Bennet, etc etc. |

| the author describes it as 85% original pride and Prejudice and 15% new material. He did a talk at google you can find on youtube it give you a pretty good idea of what the book is like. |

I think it's a great idea, but really poor execution. Maybe it's just because I don't like Jane Austen that much. But I've been bogged down about halfway through for months. It's just not that compelling.
I would recommend saving your money - maybe check it out of the library.

| I liked it quite a bit. It was a really fast read, but then so was the original. Some of the changes to the comeuppance some characters receive was a fun addition to the story. |

Is it better than Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters?
I never managed to get past the chapter where Elizabeth kicks a zombie dead. |
