The folks at Screen Junkies have amassed legions of followers for their snarky yet spot-on assessments of today’s biggest genre offerings in the form of “Honest Trailers”. How many times have moviegoers felt misled by a promo that promises boatloads of excitement for a film that turned out to be extremely lackluster? The irony of “Honest Trailers” is that they arrive too late to give us a truly objective look at the flicks we spend our hard-earned dollars on.
Their latest comedic roast is a bit different; instead of tackling a single film, they’re skewering the entire filmography of Tim Burton. Burton is back in the limelight with Dumbo arriving in US theaters on Friday, but the filmmaker has long courted horror fans with his unique mix of laughs and thrills. Burton is one of those directors who’s work has a signature trademark making him instantly identifiable. It also gives the folks at Screen Junkies plenty to poke fun at!
