Driftwood DVD art (click to see it bigger)! We just got a heads up from 2001 Maniacs director Tim Sullivan that his follow-up to the splatstick horror/comedy, the much more subtly dramatic Driftwood (review), has finally settled on a DVD release date.

That date is November 13th, 2007 specifically, and with the announcement comes some brand-new art, which you can see on your right. Driftwood, you may recall, is the story of a young man (Ricky Ullman) who is sent to the titular attitude adjustment camp where all the bad kids go, lorded over by Captain Doug Kennedy (Dallas Page), a twisted megalomaniac who feels he can only get through to kids by beating them down.

You can pick up a bit more info on Driftwood by checking out our on-camera interview with Sullivan and Page right here. The DVD from Image Entertainment will feature the following badass extras:

  • Commentary with Sullivan and producer Chris Kobin
  • Commentary with Sullivan and Page
  • Alternate ending
  • “Through the Gauntlet: Inside the Walls of Driftwood” featurette
  • “Doing Time on the Set of Driftwood” featurette
  • Bloopers
  • Deleted/extended scenes
  • Audition reel
  • Now that is a well-stacked release, no? Yes! Click here to pre-order Driftwood through Evilshop!
