I still can't seem to bring myself to even watch the pilot. _________________ "Sigh. Malachi, Conan is a fictional character, Dungeon Masters are real, hard-working people..." - Chainsaw

HBO just renewed this for a second season.
I really didn't mind the second episode, and I'm curious to see where Ball and crew take it. _________________ "According to witnesses, testimony and evidence...this massacre was the work of ninjas!" |

The second episode was just fine.
I'll stick with this show for awhile and see where it goes. Not off to a bad start. |

I didn't mind the second episode either. I thought the part where the bald vamp rolls his eyes into the back of his head was actually pretty creepy.
Am I the only one that doesn't think the show is so much a metaphor on homosexuality but racial prejudice? |

Quite without realizing it, I've stopped watching. I see it's on, and I half plan to watch it when I "get a chance". The chance isn't coming, and I think I don't care.
I'm trying really hard to stick with it because shows sometimes get better, but I can't. It's The Sarah Conner Chronicles all over again. _________________ www.horrorCon-the-movie.com

3 eps in and I kinda like the show. I know it's far from perfect and flawed on many levels, but it has a trashy quality that draws me in every week.
Interested in seeing what the connection is between Sam and the dog. Last week was the overt camera roll to the portrait of the girl with the dog looking over her in Sam's (obvious reference to Sookie and the stray dog at the bar) office before a cut and then this week it's Sam barking in his sleep. _________________ Open your textbooks to the chapter concerning your death. |

The vampire blood erection stuff was priceless this week!
The show was off to a bit of a slow start but it's really finding it, um, teeth now. |

I agree -- the last two eps have been very good. And thankfully Moyer's accent has settled down too. I really like the new Eric character -- he has potential to make things quite interesting. And I just read that the actor is Stellan Skarsgård's son -- talk about some great genes! But what the fuck was up with Sam in that last scene? Creepy! _________________ Can you feel the thirst?

| There have been some things so far that to me were unexpected - they're a tad different than the books - but I still dig the hell out of it. I never expected to as I can't stand Anna Paquin but she's surprised me. She does make a pretty good Sookie, can't complain there. For the first time I'm actually interested to see what different directions they're taking characters in from how they were treated in the books. |

If not a full-fledged werewolf, definitely something along those lines. It just gets better and better. What they're doing with Jason is hilarious! I take back all my complaints. _________________ Can you feel the thirst?

I already know who killed her, actually.
And I also know what's up with Sam.
I just read the first book.

How long did it take you to read - an afternoon? I love them because they're so fun and quick.
The second one might give you a surprise for one of the best characters on the show - assuming the show will follow the storylines of the book. That's a biggie for the second book so I'm curious what they'll do.
I just have my fingers crossed that they introduce Bubba from the books.
What did you think of the book in comparison to the show, since we're a few episodes in? |
