I love the old-school feel of the Serious Sam games. I just picked up Next Encounter for $11. Anybody play it?

Nope. Only played one of the games on PS2. It was fun, if not a little shallow. Reminds of Kiss Psycho Circus on the Dreamcast. I liked that one too, but I lean toward more in depth games. Were you the one who said the played Call of Cthulhu? That's more my style. But sometimes you just gotta blow stuff up. Serious Sam does a good job at that.

Been playing through serious sam 2. The games fun, but it would be much better if it were more in depth.

Been hooked on pariah though. The upgrade system is kind of limited, but if they combined the serious sam style, the pariah map system and an expanded pariah upgrade system I would be in love.

I know what you guys are saying but I kind of enjoy the shallowness. It just brings back good memories of early FPS's. I also think it's pretty amazing that a small group of guys from Croatia were able to develop the game and make it as good as it was.
