Stephen King’s THE BOOGEYMAN Coming Via A QUIET PLACE Scribes

Looks like we have another Stephen King adaptation on the way. This time it’s King’s short story The Boogeyman, which will be adapted for the screen via the writers of A Quiet Place.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods just finalized a deal with 20th Century Fox and 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen (Stranger Things) are producing.

King’s short story was first published in 1973 and later released as part of his 1978 Night Shift collection. It follows a man who recently lost all his children to a creature lurking in the closet.

Beck & Woods will be executive producers with Madhouse Entertainment’s Robyn Meisinger, Adam Kolbrenner, and Ryan Cunningham. JR Young will oversee for the studio.
