It starts this week. I know a lot of people here have been hesitant (and understandably so) given the transfer from Showtime to NBC, but I'm going to give it a go. Fangoria gave it a decent review.

So, what's the odds this gets moved to SciFi after one week? _________________ Kate, Honey, I may be a bastard, but I'm not a fucking bastard.

ZOMG.
I hope the CW TOTALLY picks it up and like, swaps every actor over 28 for a pretty young thang.
ZOMG! |

| The first episode wasn't that bad, IMO. I probably wouldn't buy it it on DVD, but it was entertaining enough. |

The episode was mediocre and formulaic.
The opening titles, and particularly the title song they used, were almost stunningly awful. In fact, the moment the song kicked in, I began to wonder if this was intentional parody. It's the worst theme song pretty much ever.
Say what you will about MASTERS OF HORROR, but it had a terrific opening titles credit sequence that put this one to shame. _________________ "According to witnesses, testimony and evidence...this massacre was the work of ninjas!" |

Wow. That was amazingly mediocre. Didn't leave one lasting impression except for the one sister's cleavage.
I say this will be dead within the month.
And Messiah, I agree that the opening title sequence was god awful. Somebody somewhere said "WE NEED SHOTS OF SCARY THINGS! GO!" and off they went and set up just random "scary things". And while I do think the Masters opening was some what better, that isn't saying much. The master's one was just as bad with the OH LOOK SCARY IMAGES! _________________ Insert that one line from that one movie from that one actor here. |

Big Wig Producer #1: "OK. We need a GREAT horror series. Who do we get?"
Big Wig Producer #2: "We need the director of SAHARA!"
They should change the title to Mediocrity Itself. |

| I still can't believe none of the residents of the fort thought to trap the creature in the pit before. They've only been tossing people down there for a hundred years for it to feed and no one ever thought it'd be a good idea to, you know, close the lid while it was down there? |

Heh, I thought the same thing. They've been duping untold numbers of travelers for how long but can't think to close a stupid lid? Other problems: why keep your mouth shut so it can be sewed together, and why didn't the father turn earlier if he was being fed upon?
Overall, I thought the production values were decent, I for some reason always find Rachel Miner very attractive even though she was married to the Home Alone kid, and I'll check out the next one for sure. |
