I've played some MMOs in my time (Recently sold my warcraft account for about $600) and while I really want to play this I'm afraid it will eat up all my free time because it just looks so fun.

I'll report back. I got in on the early access thing and should be able to login Saturday. By Sunday night I should have a pretty good feel for it.

I'm curious how good it'll look on my older machine. I'm not quite ready to upgrade, but Conan looks to be a complete beast. 30 gig install! Shocked

I'm going to hold off as well, at least until some reviews come out about server quality, economy and such.

My warrior in WoW had every craftable epic she could wear, plus an epic flying mount, plus around 12000 gold.

Hardly anything from the Kara or "raid" zones because, well, I never went. Solo'd most of the game, save running heroic 5-mans at 70.

All from being a big fat whore at the auction house. Very Happy

AoC ain't bad so far. It's quite a bit choppy for my old computer, though I've ordered a newer video card from newegg that will hopefully correct it. It's definitely a far, far more beautiful game than WoW is. There's more gore and boobs going around. They have fatality moves that seem to randomly come up (or at least I don't know how I'm doing them) where guys heads get chopped off with some great arterial sprays.

So far, admittedly, I'm amused, though I don't know how the end-game will be. The end game of these things is really the bottom line. If you can't keep players entertained at max level, it's doomed to be a short ride.
