Tell me about it! The Sci-Fi Channel is the weirdest station ever: They have wall-to-wall crap, aside from ONE show which just happens to be one of the best of all time.

Maybe they just keep it on the air to annoy all those bitchy fans of the cheesy 80's series.

I know a few that have crossed over to the other side.

It's the damn name!
If it was called something cooler and "hip" it'd have way more fans.
How about Bootystar Erotica?

It's a great show, and the 2nd season finale was most impressive. I'm not really looking forward to "Caprica" though.

Remember a show called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" anyone? It was a critical darling, but the WB on the map, and never got nominated for an Emmy. Why? Because of the title.

Sadly, I think BSG is heading the same way. Excellent writing, heady characterization, (Starbuck, I LOVE YOU), excellent actors, actors who have chemistry with eachother (Adama and Roslin, I'm looking at you), and political commentary in a world where politics are kinda fucked up right now. This is my favorite show on TV and I haven't geeked out this much since season three of BTVS.

This show surprised me since I never liked the old one but I decided to watch anyway and was hooked...It has to be the first time that I can remember a show coming back and it is way better than the original...I hope it keeps on going that way

The original movies rocked - and then it sort of vanished off the shelves. I was about 13 - 14 when it first came out.

It is more than worth it. I didn't like the original BSG, but the new one is excellent. I'm loving the TOES off this bitch.

And the new Starbuck could EAT the old Starbuck's BALLS any day of the week.

So I'm guessing I should avoid this thread until I get the rest of season 2?
