Has anybody checked these out yet? I found them on the shelve at Best Buy yesterday, watched two episodes, and I'm completely addicted.
Growing up in the 70s (!) I collected plenty of robots like most boys. The Shogun Warrior DRAGUN
had to have been stolen from Super Robot: Red Baron.
Anyway, this show taps into the 'hyperkinetic fantasy' of playing with those Mattel robots. You'd literally have to take shrooms or something to get the same experience otherwise without being about seven years old.
Better than ULTRAMAN and SPACE GIANTS!

Last night I watched an episode where the Steel Mask Party is bent on capturing all of Japan's children and turning them into 'slaves'. They even take them to this dilapidated barn and chain them in kuffs to the wall! The SSI saves the day driving around a 69' Challenger and shouting stuff like 'bastards' at the enemies.
