I just want to confess I am adicted to the multi-player now. I'm all about Mercenary DeathMatch right now. I'm really interested in getting in the other game types I've unlocked, but I have been hesitant.

Questions:
Do skills improve at all while you move up in rank? For instance accuracy and aim. Or is it improved as you unlock certain weapons and their upgrades?

Also, what is the "clan tag"? Are there benefits to it or just a feature?

You can improve accuracy with new weapons and with skills as you move up. You can improve health, accuracy, bullet strength, run time and so on.

Just use Bandolier for more ammo, Stopping power, and deep impact when you get them.

Is there a perk that improves your aiming/accuracy?

Like in the single player campaign, if you place your crosshairs on a target and then hit the left-trigger, your infra-red aiming dot is dead on the target. In multi-player it doesn't work like that (for obvious reasons-- makes things too easy). But I was wondering if there were perks or upgrades to improve the aiming technique.

I guess I'm just sick of coming up on a target, ready to take it out, I hit my left trigger and my infra-red is way off --whether to the right, left, up or down-- and as I get my sight back on the target, I'm taken out.

Maybe it's my weapon, I mostly use my M4 with infra-red sight apperature (12 kills off from the scope). Looking forward to unlocking the G3, though.

Also, again, what are clan tags good for?

There is one called steady aim but that is only for sniper rifles. It wouldn't do you any good with an M4 with a ACOG scope.

I like to play total MOUT (military operation in an urban terrain) style by being the first one in during an assault. Toss a flash, clear a room with my M4, move out. (Problem is though that sometimes the first one in is the first one killed).

I use a Perk to boost my inventory of grenades, the Stopping Power Perk and Deeper Penetration Perk.

I want to start working on a Sniper build where I think the UAV Invisible Perk could come in handy if you can find a good hiding space with a lot of range to cover.

I'm only ranked at Staff Sergeant so there's still lots of Perks and Weapons I can unlock, especially ones to boost the style of play I already am strong at.

Actually, Steady Aim is for shooting automatic weapons from the hip...

And by the way...The new maps are awesome.

Apparently the PS3 versions of the maps won't be availible until early May...Going by the release date of their "game of the year" edition...I have COD4 for PS3 as well but by the time the maps release I'll be playing the MGS4 Online beta as well as GTA IV...

Creek is cool but annoying because it's mostly snipers...

Creek would be ideal for snipers, you're right. Not so ideal for me!
