I have faith in DDP, I rarely read a series from them that I dislike. _________________ ----------

Phil,
I also hope we get to keep going with this. SPOOKS is made up of a few divisions, and one of them is Omega Team -- they are the elite badass extermination squad basically.
We cameo them in this series, but the main reason I created them was to give Larry Hama a blank slate and sandbox to play in. He would write it and define the characters and it would be his baby. He'd have total freedom to do whatever he wants with it.
Since Storm Shadow was canceled because DD no longer has the GI JOE liscense, Larry isn't working on a monthly right now. As a fan, I feel deprived - I've been reading Larry's stuff since I was 8 years old - and if SPOOKS: Omega Team can get a Hama comic back in stores each month that would be fantastic!
I've talked about it with Larry and Adam, and they're on board - they'd love to do a monthly series.
It'll all depend on how well this mini series does of course. So, it's really up to all the fans, but the potential is certainly there. So, please tell people and help spread the word, because nothing would make us happier than to develop this universe further! |

Ryan,
I will help pass the word. There is already a thread about SPOOKS on my website(www.joereloaded.com/forum), so we will be talking it up.
The concept itself is great and the art work looks amazing.
Thanks for the response.

Ryan,
Could someone work up some desktop images for SPOOKS?
Thanks. |

Phil,
Let me see what I can do. (I'm not the most computer savvy guy)
I'll ask DD if they can help. |

Hey Ryan,
I love just about anything that Larry Hama puts out so I just wanted to say thanks for giving me the oppurtunity to read yours and Hama's work in SPOOKS for the next few months and hopefully after that with the Omega Squad. Good luck with getting that off the ground.
P.S. - Does Mr. Hama ever visit these boards? From his interviews he doesn't seem like a message board type of guy but I'd love the oppurtunity to ask him a few question or at least tell him how much I enjoy his work. Thanks! |

Hey Congo!
Really glad to hear you are digging it so far. I'm just as big a Larry Hama fan as you are, so I totally know where you're coming from!
I will ask him if he'd like to visit the boards - he's certainly aware of the interest and really happy that people seem to be enjoying it.
I'm hoping Omega Team gets the greenlight too -- I want to be able to read a Hama monthly comic again just as much as you do! I guess you could say I took matters into my own hands... |

| And I'm delighted you did! My thanks if you ever get around to approaching Hama about visiting and for the response. |

Hey folks,
since we have a common interest, I thought I would bring this to your attention:
http://www.thefwoosh.com/2009/12/cc24-spooks-classic-by-joecustoms-com
It's from a few of us @ joecustoms.com -- come on over & let us know what you think!
We had input & advice from Mr. Hama himself... and a few more surprises coming this week -- all for a good cause!
Best,
Jm7o
