Director John Gulager is getting good at many things. First and foremost there are few people out there who can pile on the sick quite like he can. Secondly he knows how to do so in a quick and efficient manner as word has just come down that production has wrapped on his toothy sequel Piranha 3DD.

That’s right, kids. According to Star News Online Piranha 3DD officially wrapped production on May 27th. According to producer Joel Soisson the film “is so outlandish in places…I hope it works because it really pushes all the boundaries slightly pushed in the first one.” Lord only knows! Get your raincoats ready. This one is going to be messy!

The John Gulager directed sequel, written by Feast franchise cohorts Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, stars Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, David Hasselhoff and Clu Gulager.

Look for more soon! Piranha 3DD shows its teeth in theatres nationwide on November 23, 2011. The feast is on this Thanksgiving.
