There’s absolutely no denying that Scream Factory’s release of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed is a masterpiece of home video fare. It’s got extras galore, extended cuts, and fantastic packaging.

That being said, true Nightbreed fans are ride or die for the Cabal cut, which was screened in 2012 and 2013. Now those dreams are going to come true as CliveBarkerCast has confirmed that Nightbreed: Cabal Cut will be getting a Blu-ray edition!

The region-free Blu-ray (non-US residents can get excited) will include 12 additional minutes that have only been seen on VHS, and the quality is said to be greatly enhanced using in-house techniques at Seraphim HQ. The release will also include a commentary track by Russell Cherrington and Jimmi Johnson, the editors of the various Cabal Cuts, as well as Ryan Danhauser and Jose Leitao of CliveBackerCast adding their own commentary track.

Mark Miller, VP of Seraphim, will create a video introduction; and there will be a limited postcard set as well as a Dr. Deckard Rorscharch-style enamel pin with art done by Clive Barker himself.

This is going to be a very limited release, although it’s not yet known when it will be available or in what quantity.
