Love short stories but don’t have a lot time to read them? Have an iPhone/iPod/iPad or an Android? Then you’ll be interested in 3:15, a collection of nine standalone, spooky stories based on urban legends, B-movie horror, and classic ghost stories from innovative author Patrick Carman (Skeleton Creek).

From the Press Release:
3:15 means several things. It’s a time when things go bump in the night. A place where spooky stories find a home. A feeling. That chill running down your spine. ‘3’ stands for listen, read, watch. Because that’s what you do with a 3:15 story. ‘15’ is how long it’s going to take you — fifteen minutes or less.

A new story will be available every two weeks as an app with three parts. First is an audio introduction, narrated by a creepy Rod Serling-type, Paul Chandler. If readers are brave enough to continue, they’ll read a text story for about ten minutes. Read the words and unlock the ending, a video which shows how the story concludes.

Episode 1: “Buried Treasure” is now available on iTunes and the Android Market. Episode 2: “Reflecting Pool” will be available on March 29, 2011. You can learn more and also download the first story at 3:15’s official website.

All nine stories, plus two never-before-seen Skeleton Creek shorts, will be released in a 3:15 print version in September 2011. Links will appear at the end of each story to take readers to the video endings.
