I just watched it last night and thought it was pretty decent. Anyone else see this movie? I'll post more if I get any replies I don't want to put spoilers.

I'll take that as you didn't like it. Laughing

I think more should have been told of what happened to Dave with those guys. They never really went much into that area.

Felt like a glorified "Movie of the Week" to me. I also found the characters unbelievable.

I liked the storyline as far as finding out who killed the girl. I didn't get the silent phone calls from the cop's wife.

One of my least favorite films of all time. I'll never understand how Eastwood can be considered such a great director when just about everyone in this thing over-acts to high heaven.

I have the same opinions about "Million Dollar Baby". The whole thing felt like, as Sirand put it, a Lifetime Movie Of The Week. I then proceeded to hate it even more when it won the fuckin' Oscar!

I've never seen Million Dollar Baby. Ok I may have rewatch this movie since I was watching at 1am so perhaps my sleepiness got the better of me. Laughing

Didn't even bother seeing Million Dollar Baby. Can't stand Swank either.

Don't let us spoil your fun, Luna. I know several people who LOVE Mystic River -- it's just not my cup of tea that's for sure.

No spoiling here. Sometimes it takes 2 viewings of a movie for me to know if I like it or not. Like at first I didn't like Devil's Rejects but when I watched it at home I liked it alot. I is weird. Laughing

I felt the same way about 'Million Dollar Baby'.

What happened to Eastwood? He used to be a GREAT director!

I actually quite liked most of Mystic River.... except any part with Laura Linney in it. I can't stand that woman.

I think a lot of people were thrown off thinking it was going to be some kind of mystery... which it sort of was, unless you're really, really anal like me and pick up the thing in the beginning right away. Laughing

I was more interested in what was going on with the characters, and how they interracted.

Not the best movie ever, but enjoyable.

Million Dollar Baby, on the other hand, felt so much like a Lifetime movie I kept looking for Meredith Baxter!!! Laughing
