Thought I might try to watch it tonight. What with the snoozer between Seattle and San Fran being the Monday night Game.
I know HHH has been back for a while. I wish I had seen his TV debut.
Who is fueding?
Is Vince's little midget son still running around?
Is HBK back? |

About five years I realized whatever "magic" there was that made WWE fun in the late 90's was gone. After that I became a semi-regular viewer of the Monday night program but never was I going to shell out up to $40 for any PPV. Then about a year and half ago, I just stopped watching. I finally came to the realization that I hated having my intelligence insulted on such a juvenile level. If I'm channel surfing and I land on the program I'll stop and see what's going on, but it hardly takes more than 5 minutes before I move on.
Now, TNA, on the other hand, is a bit more to my liking because there seems to be more of the spirit of old-school wrestling still there with the matches are more important than the drama, but still it gets handicapped by some really stupid ideas to create engaging storylines. I've caught the program now and then on late night Spike after watching Ultimate Fighter marathons. |

I used to be a huge wrestling fan for years. Nowadays, I just can't stomach the WWE. Outside of a few wrestlers here and there, I find that most of them have no talent and are horribly boring to watch in the ring.
The only guy who I really enjoy watching if I catch a Raw episode is Mr. Kennedy.
TNA has some damn talented wrestlers, but I don't think its writers are much better than those for the WWE. _________________ One, two......Freddy's coming for you!!! |

Try the forums there, they tend to keep up with things and the site isn't full of pop-ups and shit. _________________ "Sigh. Malachi, Conan is a fictional character, Dungeon Masters are real, hard-working people..." - Chainsaw

I don't watch new wrestling anymore, but I check out online wrestling news sites to keep informed.
I really stopped watching once WCW and ECW went belly up.
But, I've been watching a lot of late 80's/early 90's WWF, WCW & ECW lately. _________________ Damn! |

I'm pretty much the same as all of you.
My friends and I used to pool together a few bucks each and order all of the PPV's, but about 4 years ago when I got married, all of that stopped.
Then with the birth of my son last December, I pretty much gave up on it altogether. I still flip it over there from time to time, but as Rex said, it doesn't last long.
I watched some of my "Ultimate Flair" Collection the other day just to remind myself of how great wrestling used to be. |

| It's a real shame. There is still a very strong audience for professional wrestling. It's just that the products offered out there now pretty much suck. |

It's sad to see what the sport has become. But you really can't blame the WWE. I guess they're just trying to cater to the younger audiences.
When you think about it, the older crowd who grew up watching "old school" wrestling back in the 80's is becoming thinner and thinner. It's a shame that the 10-20 year old crowd will have to remember today's wrestling as their "old school".
I can hear it now.
"Man... I remember that quadruple threat match for the Intercontinentle Title back in 05'. If Matt Hardy had just hit that Twist of Fate a little sooner, then Trevor Murdock wouldn't have had time to break up the count!"
Hell, I saw Dick Murdock three times in person at the rodeo grounds and high schools around here when World Class Championship Wrestling and UWF/NWA would come through doing little house shows. I still remember getting my picture taken with Kerry and David Von Erich for 4 bucks.
Great times. |

I watch it, but it makes me wanna punch a kitten almost everytime it's on.
My breaking point was this Hornswaggle crap. As soon as he blew up Johnathan Coachman with an Acme dynamite box a la Looney Tunes (and I wish I could tell you that I was making that up), a piece of me died.
Now, it's basically there for me to take shots at online. It's like there's so much that could be better with it, and they do nothing but piss on those opportunities.
The upside is, it has gotten marginally better now that John Cena is injured. But now we get Blandy Boreton headlocking everyone to sleep every week.
Thank god for ROH. _________________ Kate, Honey, I may be a bastard, but I'm not a fucking bastard.

HHH is feuding with Umaga, HBK is feuding with Orton. Uhh.. the Italian guy is getting smacked around by an out of shape Austin.

Yeah, I think he's fighting that big Indian guy who can't move.
Yeah. And Jericho's coming back soon too. _________________ ~Ken

Y2J is coming back?
Might be enough reason to start watching again. Always liked him. Especially when I heard about him and Goldberg getting into it backstage, and Y2J basicly making him tap. |

I have heard rumors that Jericho is only coming back under terms that he has a piece of creative control.
That may be good news because you can bring in all the best performers wrestling has to offer, but if creative continues on the path they have been on for the past couple years than in the end it's still shit. |

I may have to check out Prowrestlingscoops.com.
That used to be a site I visited everyday. Then it got hard to navigate, with pop ups and all. But it was very informative as far as behind the scenes info. |
