| I saw him promoting this on Craig Ferguson's show. Sounds interesting. I've never read any Barker, so I might pick this up. |

| I have this right here next to me but I'm so busy with work I probably won't get around to it anytime soon. Of course I could read it on the bus to work but this is new Clive Barker... I don't want to read something like that on the fucking bus. |

Jeez, Gutenberg's press sure was full of typos!
Decent little book, far from Barker at his best but hey, at least it was written for adults. And to be honest even a mediocre Barker is a few times better than what pretty much anyone else churns out. After having read through too many lame Leisure paperback originals this was certainly a welcome reminder of how good writers write. |

| I loved the book. From it's unique packaging to twisted first person perspective, this book was one of my favorite reads of 2007. |

| I wanna know if anyone else almost burned the thing when they were done with it. I won't lie, I seriously thought about it. |

The repetitiveness of the plea irked me more than anything.
If it wasn't a library book, I might have. |

Do you think he actually wanted to see if people would burn it?
I mean, perhaps that was why he had the fucker keep asking you to do it. |

| Not Barker at his best but certainly not a bad read at all. I wondered if he did it as a dry run for getting back into the genre - the long-promised Scarlet Gospels supposedly being his full-fledged return to the Hellraiser mythos. |

I'd say so, yeah.
By the way, you misunderstand me. I really loved this book.
I got really sucked in, hence why I thought about burning it.
You wouldn't get it unless you've read the book though. _________________ http://spookysean.com/blog/ |
