As my choice of avatar informs, I am quite fond of this album - it's as, I said in another thread, lightyears ahead of Life Is Killing Me partly because each song actually stands out. (though the last two kinda blur together) Strangely enough, I think that the by far most ambitious song on it, These Three Things, is one of its weaker links - it just feels rather disjointed, as if they took several unrelated songs and attempted to fuse them in order to create a long epic. Fortunately, the album has a good one of those in The Profit of Doom, which sounds like something cult British doom metal band Solstice would write if they ditched their folk music influence in favour of goth-rock influence.

My favourite song so far on it is Tripping a Blind Man. (think Black Sabbath's Electric Funeral reworked into a thrash song)

I love it. It's much better than Life Is Killing Me. World Coming Down is still their best in my opinion, but this is another classic album by Type O.

World Coming Down is actually the only Type O album I haven't heard anything from, which is rather funny since it seems to be by far the favourite among those who are seriously into the band. (as opposed to casual listeners or members of Type O's enormous Misaimed Fandom Brigade)

That seems like a throwback to Peter Steele's old band Carnivore, who were a somewhat unconventional thrash band.

I like the new Cd. It's pretty good. It hasn't unseated "October Rust" as my favorite though.
