Very sweet. I like the Xbox marketplace. It's cooler then i thought it would be, and there are some movies there available as High Def downloads that aren't out yet on High Def DVD. Prices on things vary from decent to ouch, especially for the old arcade games that you can play for free on the original xbox or on your PC. All in all though, pretty decent. I just wish there were more demos, heh.

Sooo...any recommendations as to what to get for this baby? I have the version with the 20 gig hard drive. I'd like to get a bigger drive, but I'm debating just getting an external drive and keeping core files on the 20 gig, since it's much cheaper that way and I get much more drive space.

I bought mine the other week too. It is nice. I only wish I could get it modded to play backups, but I am not good at doing that. If you're into football games, I recommend Maddon 08. It's fun and just looks amazing in HD. If you have friends ovewr you have to get Rainbow Six: Vegas. That is fun and up to 16 people can play online.

Hey elric, First off welcome to the addiction. As far as games, if you're into paranormal horror first person shooters, get FEAR. Awesome game. Turn out the lights, crank up the surround sound and you'll be in paranormal ectasy. I have heard great things about Bioshock but I haven't played it as of yet. Rainbow Six Vegas is an awesome first person shooter as well. Great sound design and controls. It has a lot of replay value. Also another must have is Gears of War. Hope this helps. Enjoy the 360.

Shock.

I don't even have a 360, and I know I need that game.

"Oblivion" is pretty damn cool if you like RPG's.

"Dead Rising" is worth at least a look despite some glaring flaws (there should have been an auto-save).

"Guitar Hero" series. Fun stuff and easier to get people to play than DDR.

"Rainbow Six: Vegas" - fun as co-op.

If you have a live Gold account, and like FPS, Rainbow Six: Vegas is awesome.

I think Vegas is awesome even without the online. I played the single player briefly, and I was won over. I can only imagine how crazy it is in Deathmatch.

Although it is strange that some of the 360's best games are FPS's.

No doubt that the single player is top notch...I prefer R6:V to Gears of War by a large margin...But playing the TONS of online modes is a blast...Sharpshooter (Deathmatch) is fun, but Attack and Defend and Retrieval are the best...
