Any "Dark Shadows" fans out there? It was one of my earliest exposures to horror. I remember coming home from kindergarten and watching it on TV! Now, my 12 year old daughter is a big fan. Very Happy I've been buying the DVD sets and we watch a couple of episodes together every morning after I get home from work.

Dark Shadows was sick. Along with Doctor Who, The Prisoner AND Star Trek, it's one of my four favorite classic tv shows.

It's a classic, my grandfather got me hooked on it.

I was named after a vampire on it. It was never shown syndicated where I grew up so I never got to see it until it aired on the SCi Fi channel. I am slowly, but surely, buying the dvd sets.

My mom is a huge fan. When Sci-Fi started re-airing it I usually had to watch each episode to make sure it recorded (damn pre-Tivo times Laughing ) so I got really hooked. She's now buying all the DVD sets as they become available.

I even enjoyed the revival series back in the early 90's. This causes arguments between me and her because I love telling her Ben Cross was better as Barnabus than Johnathan Frid. I don't really think so, I just like to do it to argue with her... Very Happy

Okay, I wasn't going to admit this - because it shows my age - but I LOVED dark shadows! I was young and it use to creep the hell outta me! It was probably one of the things that brought me to my love of "being creeped." They took it off the air way too soon.

I watched DS every single day after school. Had the major hotness for Quentin of course. I loved that parallel time storyline they threw in at the end too.

Started buying the DVDs but then realized it was a never-ending proposition so sold what I had on eBay. Sometimes I wish I still had them just for nostalgia's sake.

I have all of the DVDs. There's only two more sets before the end of the show! Then there should be ten sets of the early shows. I will then start watching them all over again.

Money's GRAND - but you can't buy (well for a price I guess you can) Nostalgia. I used to watch it after school too, I can't believe how spooky I thought it was. Remember when coming home from school and turning on our black & white televisions ... meant something either weird and creepy or positively stupid? I gotta say - as much as I LOVE cable and would be lost without it - we lost something when TV lost it's virginity. I'd get into the whole Room 222, Love American Style and Laugh-In thing ... but we're in a Dark Shadows room. Kill kill kill kill Dark Shadows definitely opened up the world of Spook & Horror to TV - the concept was genius.
