I recently got THE ULTIMATE DOOM collection for my PC and oh man does this bring back the memories. Blood soaked memories that is! 
Demons, monsters, zombies, and guns...lots of fucking guns. Of course using the chainsaw in close quarters combat is quite a bit of nasty fun as well. 
You can keep your DOOM "Oh look realistic shading" 3. Classic DOOM is where it's at, baby!
DON'T LEAVE NOW...THERE'S MORE DEMONS TO TOAST!

Ahh, does that bring back memories! The sounds of the Barons of Hell still freak me out.
I spent so much time playing both Doom and Doom II with my friends over my "blazing-fast" 14.4k modem. Had 2 phones lines so we could talk smack (in the days before VoIP). So high-tech 
Amen indeed.
