Image Provides First Look at Season 7 of The Walking Dead

If there’s one thing we know for sure about the upcoming seventh season of “The Walking Dead,” it’s that Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is going to be one hell of a force to be reckoned with. Ready for your first look at the badass villain in the new season? You know where to find it!
The image comes courtesy of EW, who also nabbed a revealing quote from exec producer Greg Nicotero, who directed both the Season 6 finale and the Season 7 premiere.
“Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan’s bat will be revealed in the first episode,” Nicotero told the site. He also added the following clues about Negan’s outlook: “He’s the kind of guy who imagines himself on stage at a high school production, and he loves every second of it. So, I don’t really see a lot of quiet contemplative moments with Negan. I feel like with Negan it’s really going to be about him gesticulating and him sort of relishing in the sound of his own voice while he commands the stage in front of whoever’s alive.”
Rick and the gang return to AMC on October 9.
As a reminder, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is, per usual, heading to the San Diego Comic-Con, where we’ll no doubt learn more and be gifted with a trailer for the upcoming season. Here’s the info on the show’s SDCC panel and other events:
