| Well I hope they can pull this off, it seems really difficult to write a script with most of what goes on in the limited series. Certain things will be cut out of course. |

I'd prefer Zack Morris.
So "Watchmen" is going to look like a music video car commercial, huh? _________________ I AM TELEVISION!

It's going to be interesting, I'm pretty excited, Watchmen is one of my favorite things ever written anywhere. I've always thought this would be one of the hardest stories in the world to adapt to a film. There's so much to it.
All I know is Rorschach better rock. He's such a ridiculously cool character. _________________ Sonny Fernandez Films is now on MySpace! See trailers and pics from the latest flick..."The Last BattleGround" as well as info on "BloodGod" and "The Aborted!"

Could have been Gilliam. Now it's some guy. I wonder if Alan Moore will have his name taken off? Hmm... _________________ I AM TELEVISION!

Alan Moore has gone on record saying he wants his name taken off anything of his in Hollywood. He was so disgusted with the way LOEG and From Hell came out, that he also said he's done with Hollyweird for good.
Personally, I hope they do a good job with this, but I don't see how current Hollywood can. I'm afraid they're going to go more flash over the real story, boil the charactors into characatures, and genrally fuck up the story line.
I'm a pessimist, however...That way if things turn out good, I'm pleasently surprised. |

You mean "Boll" the characters into caricatures.
Alan Moore's style isn't suited for movies, at least not the big time. His ideas are commercial, but they're best in their purest form. "V for Vendetta" made for a good flick, but the book is more powerful.
Again, it could have been Gilliam, or someone else with ideas. Now, it's just another property. The final version will have none of the original's snap. Kind of like "Dawn of the Dead." _________________ I AM TELEVISION!

I really don't think the comic can be translated into film without losing pretty much all the stuff that makes it work - ie the characterizations and character developments. Hollywood doesn't seem too keen on all that jazz at the best of times. _________________ Please, hold your applause!

Sometimes they pull it off, but it depends on the team behind the movie. In this case, I'm far from sold. _________________ I AM TELEVISION!
