E3 2016: Ark: Survival Evolved Gets Its Biggest Dinosaur Yet

Several new trailers for the action-survival game Ark: Survival Evolved debuted at E3, and one of them features a dinosaur so huge that it appears to be carrying an entire building on its back. Yup, the Titanosaur was said to have been one of the heaviest creatures to have ever walked to Earth, and I sure as hell wouldn’t want to get in its way.
And while these trailers aren’t necessarily action-packed, as they focus more on the world of the game rather than the enemies that you’ll face, they still look pretty damn amazing.
The Redwood Biomes Update and Spotlight: Titanosaur!
The Redwood Biomes is an all-new biome filled with lush, giant trees sturdy enough in which to build treehouses and villages. Harvest lumber from these gigantic arbors to create your fortress super high up in the air, providing a safer place to build a village as well as a height advantage for a superb tactical defense stance, or tap into the massive redwoods to extract their sap for healthy concoctions.
The extremely rare Titanosaur (Titanosaurus Vagacastrum) is the largest creature found on ARK, operating for many players as a mobile superfortress capable of ferrying obscene amounts of weight, structures, defenses, and creatures upon its back. Essentially a walking mountain, this herbivore often crushes creatures and buildings within its path and takes issue with any creature invading his personal space.

ARK: Primal Survival Official Trailer!
ARK: Primal Survival is an upcoming Total Conversion where ARK survivors will be able to play, live, and breed as any of the ARK’s creatures. Created in conjunction with developers Instinct Games and coming to PC and Xbox One later this year, Survivors will experience full survival mechanics and lifecycles, including mating, growing, recruiting more creatures to your ‘pack,’ even constructing primitive dens. Gamers will experience asymmetric gameplay against or with other specifics, including humans as well as AI creatures. The new functionality associated with this Primal Survival mode will also enable mod creators to build much more intricate mods involving playing as these various creatures.

Primitive Plus Official Mod Launch – July 28 for both PC and Xbox!
The second official mod, Primitive+, will launch in ARK: Survival Evolved on Thursday, July 28, for both PC and Xbox One players. Players are challenged to use primarily wood and stone without the benefit of advanced metals. A whole new set of items and detailed new mechanics focus the player on ‘primitive’ survival, which fits snugly in the world of ARK. Primitive+ will be playable as a functionality mod on all official ARK maps.
