Come on, it's a given. Who's a fan of the best show of all time?

Anyone?

My favorite episode has to be "Manos: The Hands of Fate" which had me in tears, and then "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" and "Space Mutiny".

I got to interview Mike Nelson, and he's such a nice guy. His favorite episode is "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonder". It's too bad this show isn't on anymore. I've been resorting to downloading episodes.

My favorite show ever. I enjoy pretty much every ep. I get my hands on.

And I like both Joel and Mike.

It's right up there with my favorite shows, though I've only seen episode with Joel ("Manos"). My favorite episodes are "The Final Sacrifice", "Space Mutiny" and "Jack Frost".

The Greatest series ever. I like both Mike and Joel but the Comedy Central seasons are by far superior.

Once TV's Frank and Dr. Forester where gone it was not quite as good.

I adore this show.

Still miffed that they're only releasing a handful of episodes.

SEASON BOX SETS, DAMMIT!

There oughta be a law...

I have always said that, even the most mediocre episodes of MST3K (mostly the SciFi era) were still better than 90% of the television out there today. I'm still hoping someone resurrects the show, or at least, the idea of it.

Greatest show EVER! Even the worst episodes are still better than 99% of TV. I'm all about season box sets too. Just seems like a given that somebody would see the profit in producing them, and be willing to re-purchase all those lapsed film rights to do it.

Dunno, but I'd be one of the first in line!

I think one of the problems in producing whole season box sets is securing the rights to each individual film. I don't think they secured the right to put altered versions of the films on video or DVD when they got the rights to use the films in the first place.

Also, I imagine getting the rights must be costly, as a 4-movie box runs around $50 or $60 retail- a whole season box would probably be upowards of $150-$200 to still turn a profit.

As it is, I've picked up every 4 DVD box they've put so far. This show is an all-time fave of mine, as well. Glad to see they finally got the rights to an Ed Wood film in the latest box... Very Happy

I have every commercially produced episode and about another 50 or so recorded on either VHS or DVD.

Any time Rhino puts out another for sale I will buy it wether I have a recording or not, because I feel the more they sell the more they will continue to release. I agree!

Don't forget that many of the rights-holders who sold them the rights for the original broadcasts are just a wee bit peeved at the beating they took at the hands of Mike/Joel and the bots. Many of them would -never- sell the rights to them again for DVD release on this basis alone. Then there were cases like the Amazing Colossal Man, where they actually -didn't- have the rights in the first place, leading to the infamous recall of the VHS edition.
