I did a search and didn't find a thread, and this surprised me.

Anyone else looking forward to this film?

I've been waiting for this to come out. Hopefully I'll get to see it soon. Smile

This was a great movie. I watched it earlier this evening and it is right up there with Seven. Fincher's eye for pulling you into whatever he's trying to tell you is unmatched, and he is at his absolute best with Zodiac. I'm fairly into serieal killer facts and history and naturally with me living and growing up in California, Zodiac is well known subject.

They got most of their facts right, and everything you'd expect the players involved to do they do. Acting is top notch all around, especially from Downy Jr. He plays an excellent Paul Avery, and I'd even put his name down to play Hunter S. Thompson if the role was ever up for grabs.

Highly recommend seeing this to anyone who knows, or wants to know about the Zodiac Killer. The film was never very frightening for me, however the basic build up about who the killer is keeps you on the edge of your seat through most of the film. The only problem I had was that there were a few scenes that were dragged out for far too long and the film is a wee bit too long in general. I'll give it a pass though because the flow of the film is smooth and doesn't feel choppy. Watching it at 11 o' clock at night though is what brought my attention to the length.

Overall, 8/10.

I'm a sucker for serial killer information and being a Northern Californian I guess it just really struck home with me. So that's my admited bias.

It's weird seeing places like Lake Berryesa on film where the third murder to place...I've gone camping there a few times and it's just odd to think I was so close to a brutal crime scene.

So far, it's one of the best-reviewed films to come along in quite some time. Virutally every rspectable critic in the country has been blazingly positive.

And the very idea that Nomad rated the dreadful, formulaic HANNIBAL RISING higher than this exceptional film is utterly mindboggling. To each their own, I suppose, but ZODIAC is damn near a masterpiece.
