I've been listening to that Blackstar album alot, lately. Other than that, a couple Beastie albums, Stankonia (OutKast), and a few others I can't immediately name, most of my rap collection is pilfered (pirated). Meaning, a whole bunch of songs, sans the albums.

Ummm...my fav of all time is probably Panhandler Productions S/T release from 2005....but there is no way you will find any info about them or that release on the net (I've tried).

other than that, I'm a big fan of Eminem Show, NWA Greatest Hits, Beastie Boys License To Ill, Swollen Members Bad Dreams, KoS Joyful Rebellion, Grand Master Flash, Snoop Last Supper, D12 Devils Night....pretty much the usual shizzz

It depends, I like different things for different songs.

I like really good rhymes and lyrical content (aesthetically, not so much 'deep' meanings)...like DJ Shadow, Chuck D or Eminem. (though 'deep' meanings aren't a turn off...they just aren't an automatic 'turn on' like 2pac or something).

I like really good melodic undertones like K-OS or Panhandlers...Canadian Hip-Hop makes great use of what I am referring to here.

I like the 80's or Old Skool beats and Rhymes like Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash or Easy E.

It's really hard for me to say what I like about any genre because I will listen to one band and then another which is almost the same and like one but not the other...

I did find some online audio for Panhandler Productions...but no info on who they are, future recordings or touring or members or lyrics or releases or anything like that:

...I only got the album because I bought it off some guy in downtown Vancouver...he was panhandling, selling the CD...I think this is how they operate [hence the name] and its an awesome concept...

not really huuuuuuge into hip hop, but occasionally I enjoy it. Amon Tobin is an excellent producer. Some other cds I enjoy...
