Well, I called DirecTV to see what channel number this will be, but of course the guy I spoke to only had the general press release and told me it would be available sometime Spring of this year....Basicly he was clueless. Looks like on March 1st I will have to flip through the channels till I find it.
From what I read before, it is supposed to launch as a regular channel, and an HD channel. |

Someone posted on Wikipedia that it was going to be channel 246. TiVo currently lists channel 246 as "Information Channel" yet if you try to change the channel to 246, there is no channel there. I know Wikipedia's not the end all be all of everything but it's just something I thought I'd mention. I guess we'll all find out for certain on March 1st.

| I know I won't get it but it's nice to see Friday the 13th the series, Freddy's Nightmares, and American Gothic will be on television again. |

The exact same thing happened when I called in, as well. Nothing more than a press release and befuddlement. Here's hoping that FC3000 is right about it being Channel 246.
My Tivo is about to get a hell of a workout.

Same thing here!  I think alot of timeshifting programs to avoid deletion will be on the menu.
Aside from everything else on Chiller I'm most looking forward to the Abbott and Costello films they'll be showing during the launch weekend.
It'll be really great to see these series on TV again, especially Freddy's Nightmares, Monsters, and American Gothic ("Someone's at the door.").

| I looked up the Chiller Channel under Wikipedia and it mentions a preview of the channel this Friday and Saturday (February 23-24) on DIRECTV channel 101 as well as a 14-hour movie marathon ("Chiller on Sleuth") on the Sleuth channel on Sunday, February 25. It also states that Chiller will be available on channel 257. |

I added that. I happened to have Sleuth on recently and noticed the Chiller promo (which mentioned the channel number) and later I was using TiVo to look up upcoming horror films. TiVo listed the '80s horror film American Gothic playing on The 101. Puzzled, I pulled up the TV listings for The 101 this weekend and noticed the Chiller preview.

Yeah, I've been watching it all day. I'm loving it. A Tales From The Crypt marathon is on right now.
