The Demon Files Are Worth Opening

As an avid paranormal buff, I’ve grown to detest most paranormal shows. Truth be told, other than
“Ghost Adventures” and “The Dead Files,” the rest pretty much… well… suck. For the last several years cable channel Destination America has been doling out the worst of the worst in this medium, but miracles do happen. They finally have a winner. I refer to “The Demon Files.”

Don’t let the similarities to “The Dead Files” fool you as I’m sure the title was a decision on the network’s part to capitalize on an existing brand. This is a different animal altogether, and that animal’s name is Ralph Sarchie.

In fact, Sarchie (the subject of the recent film Deliver Us from Evil) was the main reason I tuned in. The man commands the screen effortlessly, and his intent is clear. His no bullshit attitude is what makes “The Demon Files” work. With Halloween season over, Sarchie and his crew deliver an abundance of chills presented in a believable way, free of hyperbole and “GOTCHA” moments. It truly is the best original show Destination America has put on the air by a mile.

If this first episode is a sign of things to come, then I can honestly say that “The Demon Files” are worth opening and you should check them out!

About “The Demon Files”:
Ralph Sarchie’s life is divided between two very different worlds. In one he’s a decorated sergeant for the N.Y.P.D. who proudly protected and served his city for over 18 years. In the other he’s a highly regarded demonologist, helping real American families who fear they may be threatened by the demonic. His book, Beware the Night, details how he uses his cop-hardened savvy to combat supernatural evil at every turn and served as the inspiration for the 2014 movie Deliver Us from Evil. Now, in “The Demon Files,” Sarchie and his team travel across the country meeting with people apparently suffering from demonic activity.

Sarchie stars along with Mark Stabinski, Mike Dolan, Brian McCauley, Sean Austin, Kayne Anderson Ates, and Debra Aguayo.

Look for the show on Destination America Sundays at 10:00 PM ET. For more information visit “The Demon Files” on Facebook.
