I've never heard of this show. What is it about? _________________ Threw you the obvious. And you flew with it on your back. A name in your recollection. Down among a million, say: Difficult enough to feel a little bit. Disappointed, passed over. |

Yes, I also bought it! I grew up watching that show, along with "Scooby-Doo", "Land of The Lost" and a whole bunch of other stuff that probably rotted my brain (along with all that sugary cereal)!
"Groovie Goolies" was a Saturday morning cartoon/variety show with (mainly) Frankie, Drac, and Wolfie (there were other characters). It was made-up of several short skits, jokes and each episode they played two songs. Being a young kid who was into monsters, it was neat watching a cartoon show back then with monsters in it! I think it was on around 1970.

Yeah, dude!
Used to watch this repeatedly as a kid, in between The Thing and Maximum Overdrive.
There were about 4 VHS tapes that did the rounds between me and my brother....I had a Groovie Ghoulies tape, he had Richie Rich, and occasionally Count Duckula and the Ewoks movie would make an appearance! |
