best line out of the episode for me, though, is still: "oh, him? he's just the host organism"

My mother asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year (despite me being a Buddhist) and I sent her a link to my Amazon.com wish lists. Just added all the MST3K boxed sets to that list. Thanks for reminding me.

Is it wrong to ask a Buddist what they desire? Or is it wrong for a Buddist to indulge in desire?

Either way unless the Middle Way let's me watch MST3K don't count me in on Buddhism.

Since you asked. . . .

Contrary to what some people might believe, there is nothing wrong with having pleasures and enjoyments. What is wrong is the confused way we grasp onto these pleasures, turning them from a source of happiness into a source of pain and dissatisfaction.

In other words, don't expect your enjoyments to be happiness incarnate and don't expect the pleasure from such enjoyments to be permanent. Other than that, The Middle Way is just that: The middle ground between indulgence and asceticism.

So, sure, there's room on the Satellite of Love for Buddhists. . . .

One of my all-time favorite shows.

My favorite episode: PUMA MAN. That show had me almost pissing myself. I probably have about 60 episodes on VHS tape and 8 of the 10 DVD volumes.

I'm always amazed at the people who don't "get" the show. It's strange but true.

I never saw Puma Man. My all time favorite is Lost Continent with Caeser Romero.
