I own the first 3 novels. Has anyone read the fourth novel : Human Condition? Is it a direct sequel to the other three ie does it have the same characters like michael and emma, etc? The description on amazon.com made it seem like it isnt.

Your queries sent me to amazon to have a look-see and I found a link to Moody's home page where you can download the first novel for free.

It's a slow day at work, so I'm 60 pages in. I might even get it done before I go home. Interesting so far, but I'm hoping for a whole lot more if it's going to have four more sequels.

yeah its slow starting off. The "action" doesnt pick up till around page 110 or so. One thing moody is good at is character development.

I've heard great things about the Autumn novels. Great things. I hope to find some copies sometime.

As for reading on the PC...I'm not sure I could read a book on the computer. I would have to be stuck at work, as well.

Yeah, it wasn't ideal (reading on a computer screen). But I managed.

Overall, Autumn was just standard fare. There's some original ideas, but the characters were too few in number and the action too intermittant for the threat from the zombies to be palpable enough.

In short, the set-up was excellent, but there was no real pay off.

Book 1 must be one big set up. Hence the other books.

the first book only has 3 main characters. The second one doesnt start off as a sequel fyi. It starts at the beginning of the plague with all new characters. The survivors from the first book come into it later on. The second and third book have a lot of characters in them.

Thanks for the info. I might yet give them a go, but I'd need to have run out of other things to read first.
