Sigh... as you know I'm an animation buff. I love it all, and I've started watching "Fantastic Four" on the Cartoon Network.

It's a shame this is what the movie should have been.

It's sleek, fun, and tends to sidestep the whiny shit that the comics were so boring with.

I was never a fan of the comic mainly because The Thing was a whiny bitch, Sue was a slut, and Reed was annoying.

But this takes the fun element and injects it into a quasi anime series that works very well.

Any takers?

I wasn't even aware there was a Fantastic Four cartoon. I wouldn't expect it to be at Batman the animated series greatness, but is it close? I'll give it a look, as I'm a Marvel geek.

It's pretty superficial.

Johnny mouths off, Ben grunts, Reed is in his lab, Sue plays mommy, and they fight a villain, and it ends.

It's sadly the plot structure of a Power Rangers episode. Not much plot, not much emphases, but straight to the point.

It's fun though. Johnny is hilarious, Ben is cool, and Sue is rather downplayed here.

Doctor Doom is bad ass as always, and the animation is great.

Thing took on The Hulk in the newest episode. Mr. Green

Holy shit that's funny!

People say Superman is lame, and here we have the F4 getting married in their costumes!

Saw this movie three times when I got ahold of it. So bad it's good.

I always watched the cartoon, which is why I was excited for the movie. And then I was very, very disappointed. The only redeeming part was that Jessica Alba is really hot.

Looks fade, and then people will see she has no talent.

By the way, The Fantastic Four sketch on Norm McDonald's comedy CD is pure gold. Seek it out.

The new one hs that chronic problem from almost every American show copying Anime suffers. It copies the art style but fails miserably on the storytelling. Yeah it is kind of fun to watch but there is nothing to it. If they could get in an multi-episode arc I would be more into it. Maybe they will, maybe they are just easing into it and taking it slow (I have not caught every episode, but I know the one with the Kree hinted at the Skrull) but I doubt it.

I enjoy it but I agree.

The stories or lack thereof are utterly simple, like a "Power Rangers" episode.

Now I am not completely up to snuff on my FF canon, but Ronin helping in the creation of Super Skrull?!

And it is little surprise to me that it is canceled. In addition to the series never going anywhere, it seemed very out of place in its time slot.
