My EB decided to mysteriously use FedEx for the first time instead of UPS to ship Gears. So ... it has not shown up and tracking info says its somewhere in the middle of America. Who the fuck uses a new shipping agent for a super hyped game? "Hey, we know people have been waiting on this game for a year, but you know what? Let's take a chance and ship with someone we never use. This is such a good idea!"

Sigh. With how fucking busy and hetic work has been these last two weeks I was really looking forward to Gears. Now all I have is the new Transformers dvd ... crying so much.

Ah, finally a story from a source better than the forums ... kinda.

It looks like all of Florida is in the same boat.

Thank god GH2 came out yesterday, or UC would be inconsolable!

Sweet Mother of GOD!!!!!!!

They just keep coming and coming and coming...

Take the intensity of the Alien onslaught From Camerons Aliens, the Brutality of the killers in Hostel, and epic proportions of Return of the Kings, and you begin to understand just how AWESOME Gears of War really is to play...

I am all new to online play (as I was tired of getting my ass handed to me by 12 year olds in deathmatches and being called a Noob-FUCK YOU! I CAN BUY A BEER, and have kissed a woman before, bitches!) But being able to play the campaign with a buddy online is just a total over the top GREAT experience...

If there ever was a game that played the line of "I ain't got time to bleed" This is it.

Ther eis very little downtime once the shooting starts.. And just when you think you have seen the big bad guy, here comes something even bigger and badder than the last one...

And what is with the screaming? AWESOME disturbing sounds, and lighting, and action, and aside from the A button being used for most of your actions (that becomes a bit of a pain , but you get used to) the game is prob the best game I have ever played (with Res Evil 4 being the very close number 2)

EVERYONE should be buying a 360 for this game (nevermind that Dead Rising, Oblivion, Fear totally rock as well...)

Can't wait to get home and get back to it.. Maybe take a half day today...Hmmmmm?.

Tony

I would :

A) be demanding my money back.

B) be heading back to the store with a baseball bat if my money were not returned to me forthwith.

Kind of hard when you have it pre-ordered and paid off. You cannot get your cash back, it stays as store credit if you traded games in for a new title.

EB did, however, give you $5 off ... but since mine was paid off already that means they got to keep that $5 and use it towards another pre-order.

Things haven't been going so smooth since the merger.
